Physicians may refer patients directly by calling the Physicians Access Line at 877-251-6485.

Patients, please call TopDocs at 314-TOP-DOCS (314-867-3627) or toll-free 866-867-3627.

You will be asked for the following patients records:

  • Patient name and DOB
  • Diagnosis
  • Details of diagnosis (physical exam, biopsy, x-rays, etc.)
  • Specific information about any treatment the patient has received
  • Patient's telephone number
  • Patient's insurance information, including any necessary HMO authorization

After the records are reviewed or staffed at the weekly Tumor Review Board Meeting, you will be contacted about the outcome and recommendations. Physicians are welcome to attend the Tumor Review Board. If the patient is suitable for Gamma Knife radiosurgery and an appointment is made, he/she should bring the following records to their first appointment. Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

  • Medical history and physical exam
  • All records pertaining to the tumor and/or any other cancer sites, if applicable
  • All MRIs. PET and CT-scans (not just the most recent)
  • Pathology slides
  • A copy of their insurance cards (front and back)
  • List of current medications
  • List of current symptoms

We will call your patient for preregistration and other necessary paperwork in advance of the first appointment. We send all scheduled patients information about the Gamma Knife and general orientation to the process. Depending on the condition being treated, the effects of treatment may occur over a period of time. The Gamma Knife faculty will work with you in monitoring the effeciveness of the therapy. We encourage you to contact us at any time about your patient's progress or to discuss the procedure.
